Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of acculturative stress of multicultural adolescents and mothers' on life satisfaction among multicultural adolescents. Methods: To accomplish these goals, the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model(APIM) was conducted using the panel data of 2,015 mothers who have multicultural adolescents, taken from the 1st and 2nd wave of Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS) were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 23.0. Results: First, both self-effects and partner-effects of multicultural adolescents' and mothers' acculturation stress on self-esteem were found. Second, the acculturation stress of multicultural adolescents' showed both direct and indirect effects on adolescents' life satisfaction. In addition, it was found that adolescents' self-esteem had a greater mediating effect in the path through which multicultural adolescents and mothers' acculturation stress affected adolescents' life satisfaction. Conclusions: It is significant in that it focuses on the interdependent relationship between parents and children in multicultural families and reveals the rbetween acculturation stress and self-esteem of adolescents and mothers.
