English learners in Korea have recognized that English is essentially an indispensable factor in achieving internalization or globalization since they were young. For that reason, the expectation and extension of English only classes are being gradually increased in the Korean educational setting. As a result, the increase of English classes in elementary schools has been decided and native English teachers were placed at every middle school with the support of the Korean Ministry of Education. In addition, many universities have increased English-only lectures under the rational of becoming pre-eminent colleges. In such an educational environment, this research was presented to find out how English learners identify with English only classes and their English distinctiveness via the questionnaire. To do so, this study reviewed literature backgrounds in regards to how English learners have historically, socially, culturally, and economically influenced in their consciousness by the progression of learning English. 233 college students (male 100, female 133) took part in this study. The study also included corresponding majors, extent of time in English-speaking countries, gender, as well as other correlating questions. Data analyses indicate that most students agree that English dominates Korean society and culture as well as the economy. The study also revealed that learners recognize that becoming fluent in English guarantees their future success. Conversely, most students involved in the research disagreed that the extension and deliberation of English only lectures for majors as well as liberal art courses aided in improving their English ability.
