In Hawthorne's works, we must know the reading of the literary mind, background of man's destiny and that his characters will play an essential part. So as to make research on this part, the link between Hawthorne' works were studied because he is ambiguous in his use of the terms. Hawthorne seems to use destiny or related terms to describe the emotional tone or coloring which events acquire in the narrations' minds. He lacks love and respect for the human soul, whose sin is called 'unpardonable.' He emphasizes intellectual pride more than heart and finally he collapses, being unable to overcome providence. Hawthorne's works has influenced others so much as regards this theme and there are many literary elements in his works which are hard to find out in Puritanism .
