예비 항공서비스 산업체 종사자들의 TOEIC 성적 향상을 위한 학습책략

Learning Strategies for Improving Future Airline Employees' TOEIC Scores

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether or not there are significant differences in EFL junior college students' use of learning strategies of TOEIC between the highly improved group and the less improved group. In this study, a questionnaire on learning strategies of TOEIC and two sets of TOEIC were administered and 56 junior college students participated in it. The main findings were as follows: (1) The students in the highly improved group used learning strategies of TOEIC more than those in the less improved group. They also studied TOEIC significantly more than those in the less improved group. (2) Both group students used the strategy 8 in the appendix, 'I tried to be familiar with English' the most. (3) Among 25 strategies, 7 strategies were significantly used by the highly improved group. The students in the highly improved group reviewed and previewed everyday, repeating after a tape and memorizing sentences they heard. In addition they always set a goal of ideal scores whenever they took a TOEIC test.
