This study aims to analyze the role and characteristics of museum merchandise in order to explore avenues for enhancing its value. To accomplish this objective, the focus will be on 'MU:DS' merchandise sold at the National Museum of Cultural Heritage's museum shop, and an analysis will be conducted on the sales volume, popularity, and revenue trends of museum merchandise. Additionally, an investigation will be carried out on the impact of museum merchandise on the consumer process of tourists, with the aim of providing fundamental data necessary for merchandise development. Through this research, the goal is to gain a clear understanding of the role and function of museum merchandise and to derive insights that can serve as guidance for the planning and development of new merchandise.
