‘우파니샤드’의 관점을 통한 심층생태주의의 복잡성 연구

A study on the complexity of Deep ecology through the Upanishad perspective: Focused on Jeong Hyeon-Jong's poetry

이 논문에서는 정현종 시를 대상으로 ‘우파니샤드’의 관점을 통한 심층생태주의의 복잡성을 논의했다. 먼저, 정현종 시에서 ‘브라흐만의 분화와 창조적 관계성’이 도출되었다. 그의 시에서 ‘브라흐만의 분화’로 인한 창조의 의미는 작금의 생태계 위기에 대응하여 유기론적 특성을 강조하는 심층생태주의와 통한다. 우파니샤드의 관점으로 볼 때, 정현종 시의 모든 존재는 브라흐만의 담지체인 ‘아트만’으로서 모두가 ‘하나’의 관계로 연결된다는 사유가 추출된 것이다. 나아가 정현종 시에서 ‘시공적 상호작용과 생성의 연속성’에 대한 주제가 도출되었다. 우파니샤드의 관점으로 볼 때, 그의 시에서 비슈누 신의 영향을 받은 인간은 끊임없는 상호작용을 통해 지속적인 생성을 노정한다. 이러한 사유는 생태계의 모든 존재들이 시공적 상호작용을 통한 생성의 과정으로서 연속을 의미하며, 이러한 양상이 심층생태주의의 복잡성으로 논의된 것이다. 마지막으로, 정현종 시에서 윤회의 해탈과 대융합의 재생성이 도출되었다. 우파니샤드의 관점으로 볼 때, 붕괴의 신 시바의 영향을 받는 인간은 죽음을 통해 해탈함으로써 대융합의 재생성을 노정한다. 이는 일차자연인 자연이나 이차자연인 인간이 죽음을 통해 자연에 융합함으로써 전체 생태계의 생명현상이 가능하다는 심층생태주의와 연결된다. 정현종 시에서 우파니샤드의 관점을 통한 심층생태주의의 복잡성이 도출된 것이다.

This study is aimed to discuss the complexity of Deep ecology from the perspective of ‘Upanishad’ focusing on Jeong Hyeon-jong’s poems. First, in Jeong Hyeon-jong’s poems, ‘Brahman’s differentiation and the relationship of Beomailyeo’ were derived. In his poems, the meaning of creation from ‘Brahman’s differentiation’ is in line with deep ecology that stresses organic characteristics in response to the current ecosystem crisis. From the perspective of Upanishad, Jeong Hyeon-jong’s poems extract the idea that all beings are connected as ‘one’ as ‘Atman’ that is what contains Brahman. Furthermore, in Jeong Hyeon-jong’s poems, ‘spatio-temporal interaction and the continuity of generation’ were derived. From the viewpoint of Upanishad, humans influenced by the god, Vishnu, in his poems reveal continuous generation through restless interaction. This thought refers to continuity as a process of all beings in the Earth’s ecosystem to generate through spatio-temporal interaction, and this aspect is discussed here in terms of the complexity of deep ecology. Lastly, in Jeong Hyeon-jong’s poems, the nirvana of reincarnation and the regeneration of great fusion were derived. From the perspective of Upanishad, humans affected by Shiva, the god of collapse, reveal the regeneration of great fusion by reaching nirvana through death. This is in line with deep ecology that tells us that life phenomena in the entire ecosystem are possible as nature, the primary nature, or humans, the secondary nature, circulate through death. In Jeong Hyeon-jong’s poems, the complexity of deep ecology was derived from the perspective of Upanishad.
