The purpose of this study was to verify the difference of positive and negative social comparison feedback using the Taekwondo front-kick task. 36 female college students participated in the experiment. The experimental design consisted of a 3×6 mixed design. As a result of the experiment, the following results were obtained. First, in the acquisition phase, the positive social comparison feedback group showed a superior practice effect than the negative social comparison feedback group and the control group. Second, in the retention test and the follow-up retention test, the positive social comparison feedback group showed a superior learning effect than the negative social comparison feedback group and the control group. In conclusion, these results indicate that the positive social comparison feedback group was more motivated to learn the task than the other groups, and this actually influenced the Taekwondo kicking learning.
