The Effects of 8week Plyometric Training on Power, Physical Performance and Postural Control and in Middle School Taekwondo Athletes

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the 8-week plyometric training on the power, athletic performance, and posture control of middle school Taekwondo athletes. Thirty subjects participated in this study and were randomly divided into two groups : exercise group (Ex=15) and control group (Con=15). As a result of the study, significant effects were also shown in the Sarjent jump, standing long jump, medicine ball throwing, and agility running, which are athletic performance. In addition, the postural control showed a significant effect in the left and right anterior, postero-lateral and postero-mdedial. In conclusion, plyometric training was found to have a positive effect on the power, athletic performance, and postural control of middle school Taekwondo athletes. Future studies based on this study will need to analyze the correlation between core strength and athletic performance.
