트라우마 이론에 기반한 예술치유콘텐츠 구독자의 치유 과정에 관한 질적연구

Therapeutic Arts in Digital Media - A Qualitative Study on the Recovery Process of Subscribers to the YouTube Channel ‘EMOR’ Using Judith Herman’s Trauma Theory

이 연구는 예술치유콘텐츠를 제공하고 있는 유튜브 ‘이모르’ 채널을 사례로 구독자 의 치유 과정을 분석하기 위해 진행된 질적연구다. 연구의 핵심질문은 ‘예술치유콘텐 츠를 시청함으로써 구독자가 경험한 치유적 효과는 무엇인가?’이며, 주디스 허먼(Judith Herman, 1997)이 제시한 트라우마 회복단계 모델을 분석틀로 적용했다. 자료수집을 위해 10회의 참여관찰과 13명의 연구참여자를 대상으로 면접조사를 실시했으며, 크리 에이터와 협력해 제작한 영상에 달린 댓글을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 예술치유콘텐츠 시청과 유튜브 채널 내 상호작용 과정에서 발현된 치유적 경험은 (ⅰ) 안전의 확립, (ⅱ) 기억과 애도, (ⅲ) 연결의 복구로 이어지는 것으로 나타나 외상의 통합 차원에서 유의미한 효과가 있음이 확인되었다. 구독자들이 경험한 치유적 효과를 밝혀낸 이 연 구의 결과는 디지털 미디어를 활용한 예술치유와 문화경제적 관점에서의 예술의 사회 적 기능과 함의에 있어 확장된 방식과 새로운 가능성을 시사한다.

The research interrogates the therapeutic effects derived from engagement with therapeutic art content in EMOR’s channel, employing Judith Herman's Trauma Recovery Stage Model(1997) as an analytical framework. Data collection involved analyzing comments on a video clip created in collaboration with the channel's creator, augmented by participant observations with ten-time field visits and interviews with thirteen research participants. Findings reveal that the therapeutic experiences facilitated through the consumption of therapeutic arts contents and interactive engagement within the channel lead to establishing safety, remembrance and mourning, and re-connection. These processes echo the healing trajectories observed in traditional offline therapeutic contexts. The study highlights the efficacy of digital media in facilitating therapeutic arts approaches, suggesting its potential to broaden the socio-cultural functions of art within a cultural-economic framework.
