요가 수련생들의 차크라에 대한 인식연구

This Study Sought to Examine Yoga Practitioners’ Subjective Perception of Chakra through Q Methodology

본 연구는 요가 수련생들이 차크라에 대해 가지는 주관적 인식유형이 어떠한지 이해하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해서 주관성 연구 방법인윌리엄 스티븐슨의 Q 방법론을 적용하였다. Q 방법론은 우선 차크라와 관련된 문헌 고찰 및 선행연구 탐색, 그리고 요가 전공 대학원생과요가 지도자 대상의 설문조사를 통한 Q 모집단 구성, 최종적으로 40개의 Q 표본을 선정하였다. 또한 P 표본은 경기도 소재 D 요가원과 B 요가원에서 수련하는 45명을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료 분석은 Quanl 프로그램을 활용하여 주성분 요인 분석(Principal Component Factor Analysis)으로 이루어졌다. 연구 결과 총 4가지 유형이 도출되었으며, 유형 1은 ‘인체 내의 에너지를 체험하는 유형’, 유형 2는 ‘의식의 내면을 탐구하는 유형’, 유형 3은 ‘치유의 도구로 활용하는 유형’, 유형4는 ‘개념으로 이해하는 유형’으로 구분되었다. 본 연구를 통하여 차크라의 인식유형에 따라 관점이 각기 다르고, 각 개인의 체험에 따라그 중요성과 의미가 다름을 알 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 유형별 특성을바탕으로 다양하게 접근하고 적용할 수 있는 활발한 시도가 이루어지는 계기가 되기를 바란다.

This study aims to understand what type of subjective perception yoga practitioners have about chakras. For this purpose, William Stevenson’s Q methodology, a subjective research method, was applied. The Q methodology first involved reviewing literature and exploring previous studies related to chakra, forming the Q population through a survey of yoga graduate students and yoga instructors, and ultimately selecting 40 Q samples. In addition, the P sample wascomprised of 45 people practicing at Yoga Center D and Yoga Center B in Gyeonggi-do, and data analysis was conducted using Principal Component Factor Analysis using the Quanl program. As a result of the research, a total of 4 types were derived, Type 1 is ‘the type that experiences energy within the human body’, Type 2 is ‘the type that explores the inner side of consciousness’, and Type 3 is ‘the type that uses it as a healing tool’. Type 4 was classified as ‘type understood as a concept’.Through this study, it was found that the perspective of Chakra’s perception type was different, and the importance and meaning of each individual’s experience were different, and it is hoped that this will serve as an opportunity for active attempts to approach and apply variously based on the characteristics of each type.
