Analyzing Opportunities and Challenges in Sino-Korean Collaboration within the Intelligent Operation and Maintenance Sector Amid China’s Telecommunications Boom

본 연구는 중국 통신 산업의 발전과 중국과 한국 간의 스마트 운영 및 유지 보수(O&M) 분야에서의 협력 가능성을 검토한다. 이 연구는 네트워크 인프라, 통신산업 고부가가치, 그리고 셀룰러 IoT 사용자들의 급속한 발전을 분석하며, 스마트 O&M 분야에서 중한 협력의 새로운 기회와 시사점을 제공한다. 그러나 이 과정에는 기술 격차, 표준의 차이, 문화적 장벽 등의 도전과제가 상존한다. 이에 따라 전략과제로 기술 교류 촉진, 공동 R&D, 표준 조화, 시장 확장 등을 제안하고 있다. 데이터의 가용성 한계와 도전 분석의 제약에도 불구하고, 이 연 구는 정책 입안자, 기업 의사 결정자, 산업 전문가들이 도전과제를 해결하고 양 국 통신 산업에서의 지속 가능한 발전을 촉진하기 위한 정보를 제공하고 협력 가능성을 제고하는 것을 목표로 한다. 향후 연구는 주요 도전과제를 객관적으 로 식별하고 이해관계자들이 관리 우선순위를 명확히 하는 데 도움이 될 정량 적 연구를 포함할 것이다.

This study examines the development of the Chinese communications industry and the status of cooperation between China and Korea in smart operations and maintenance (O&M). It highlights China’s rapid advancements in network infrastructure, communication revenue, and cellular IoT users, offering new opportunities for Sino-Korean collaboration in smart O&M. However, challenges such as technology gaps, standards differences, and cultural barriers exist. Strategies proposed include promoting technology exchange, joint R&D, standard harmonization, and market expansion. Despite limitations in data availability and challenge analysis, this study aims to inform policymakers, corporate decision-makers, and industry experts to address challenges and promote sustainable development in the communication industry. Future research will integrate quantitative studies to identify key challenges objectively and aid stakeholders in clarifying management priorities.
