Cross-border Electricity to Analysis the Effect of Import and Export Trade and Related Countermeasures to China and South Korea

Purpose - In this paper, through the empirical analysis, this paper discusses the impact of cross-border electricity between China and South Korea, and selects the data from 2003-2019 in the process of considering the impact of the new round of Champions League epidemic. Explore the impact of crossborder electricity on import and export trade. Design/Methodology - Our empirical model takes into account the impact of cross-border power on import and export trade, and adopts the existing theoretical framework to determine the demand of crossborder power business between China and South Korea. The analysis investigates the impact of the complexity of Chinese export market. Findings - The cross-border power business of China and South Korea import and export trade has a positive impact. Compared with logistics and exchange rate, the impact of cross-border current is small, but over time, its impact on import and export trade will be significantly improved, even more than the above two factors. Originality/value - For China and South Korea, cross-border power companies can save transportation costs and improve economic benefits due to their better geographical advantages. Through the collation of the research results related to China-South Korea trade, most of the current studies focus on china-US trade friction and cross-border power relationship, while there are relatively few studies on China-South Korea trade, so this research is selected as the research direction of this paper.
