A Study on the Rural Experiential Tourism: Focused in Chunbook Province

In this study, I will present ways of promoting rural tourism through on-farm programs that will eventually generate a sustainable rural tourism industry. More specifically, I will address the following issues: the definition of on-farm programs, its content and dimension, the importance of farm resources for tourism, the types of on-farm programs, the concept, characteristics, and types of rural tourism, the origin and role of rural tourism, the background to the introduction of rural tourism as a policy, etc. Based on the above-mentioned theoretical background, a survey of on-farm programs in Jeollabuk-do was conducted. A local autonomous entity and rural dwellers should be aware that people who once experienced rural tourism revisit the country repeatedly and use the services and facilities, so they should keep natural surroundings and beautiful scenery as clean as possible and try to hand down and cultivate the local traditions by which people can feel the country atmosphere and nostalgia. In addition they should train tour guides and invest in facilities and offer various experience opportunities to tourists and develop unique local products and clean accommodations, and toilets to increase rural tourism.
