The primary purpose of this study is to provide useful insight for enhancing cultural tourism attractiveness in global society. This study has analyzed the cause-effect relationship among those factors taking the case of the 'Korean folk village' where the authenticity has been controlled. As a result, tourist experience can be controlled by changing the level of authenticity. In the case of the 'Korean folk village', tourism authenticity was measured by such factors as traditional buildings, exhibitions, staffs, and atmosphere. These factors have been introduced by previous studies. Tourist experiences were measured by the characteristics of the tourist setting, activities, and social orientations. The study results can be utilized as a basis of suppling tourist attractions and improving quality of tourist destinations. This study contributes to the body of literature in the realm of tourist behavior and strategic management of tourism industry which mainly pursues abstract and psychological values.
