《撒叶儿嗬：清江土家跳丧》是一本研究鄂西清江流域土家族祭祀丧俗歌舞必读的纪实性著作。本著述中以9 场跳丧实录为主，集中展现了清江流域内土家族的丧葬歌舞在21 世纪初的表现形式与风格特征，深度探析了土家族跳丧的文化源流、生死观念、歌舞形式等方面。对于研究土家族民俗文化的学者来讲，具有重要的学术参考价值。本文将该著作为评述对象，从内容结构、著作特点、研究意义方面进行评述，以期为土家族丧葬习俗研究提供些许观察视角。

“Sa Ye Er He: Qingjiang Tujia Dance Funeral” is a documentary work that must be read to study the sacrificial customs, songs, and dances of the Tujia people in the Qingjiang River Basin of western Hubei. This work mainly focuses on 9 recorded funerals of the Tujia family in the Qingjiang River Basin, showcasing the expressive forms and stylistic characteristics of the funeral song and dance of the Tujia family in the early 21st century. It deeply explores the cultural origins, concepts of life and death, and forms of song and dance of the Tujia family’s funerals. For scholars studying the folk culture of the Tujia ethnic group, it has important academic reference value. This article takes this work as the object of review, and evaluates it from the aspects of content structure, work characteristics, and research significance, in order to provide some observation perspectives for the study of the funeral customs of the Tujia ethnic group.
