전국 교육대학교 실과교육과정 비교 분석

Comparative Analysis of Practical Arts Curriculum at National Universities of Education in Korea

이 연구는 전국 교육대학교의 실과교육과정을 비교 분석하여 바람직한 구성 방향을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위하여, 2024학년도 입학생에게 적용되는 전국의 10개 교육대학교 교육과정을 분석 대상으로 하였으며, 교육과정을 교양과정과 전공과정 영역으로 구분하여 개설 교과목과 학점(시간)을 분석하였다. 전국 교육대학교의 실과교육과정에 개설된 실과 관련 과목은 교육대학교 간에 차이가 컸다. 교양과정 영역은 필수과목이 거의 개설되어 있지 않았고, 전공과정 영역의 교과교육과 교과 실기 영역은 선택과목이 전혀 개설되어 있지 않았으며, 창의적 체험활동 영역에는 필수과목이 전혀 개설되어 있지 않았다. 심화과정 영역은 실과교육 학문 영역별로 필수와 선택과목이 개설되어 있었으며, 그중에서 가정과학 영역이 가장 많이 개설되어 있었다. 이와 같은 결과는 과목 개설이 미흡하거나 전혀 없는 영역에 과목을 개설하기 위한 노력과 미래 실과교육과정을 구성하는 데 반영될 수 있도록 할 필요가 있다는 것을 의미한다. 전국 교육대학교의 실과교육과정을 위해서는 미래 교육환경 변화에 대응하는 교육과정 혁신 방향과 내용이 실과교육과정에 반영될 수 있도록 하고, 실과교육과정에 대한 정보를 공유·활용할 수 있도록 플랫폼 개발 등이 추진되어야 할 것이다.

This study aimed to identify an optimal direction for curriculum development by comparatively analyzing the practical arts curriculum at universities of education nationwide. To this end, the study analyzed the curriculum for the class of 2024 at 10 universities, categorizing the curriculum into liberal arts and major courses, with subjects offered and corresponding credits (hours) analyzed. The study found significant differences in practical arts-related subjects offered across the universities. There were almost no required courses offered in general education, no elective subjects in the subject education and practice areas of the major curriculum, and no required subjects in the creative experiential activities. However, in the advanced course area, both required and elective subjects were offered for each practical arts education academic area, with home economics science being the most open. These results suggest a need to increase subject offerings in areas with insufficient or no availability and to ensure their incorporation into future practical arts education courses. For the practical arts curriculum of universities of education, the direction and content of curriculum innovation should reflect changes in the future educational environment. Moreover, efforts should be made to develop a platform to share and utilize information related to the practical arts curriculum.
