철학의 진정한 가치는 철학이 이론적 진리만을 추구하는 것이 아니라 삶의 고통에 참여하여 이를 도와주는 역할도 해야 한다. 이에 철학상담으로서 실천가능성은 철학교에서 찾을 수 있다. 우선 니체는 그의 『비극의 탄생』(1876) 에서 삶의 본질과 맞닿아 있는 그리스 비극을 통해 ‘그리스적 명랑성’을 회복하고, 『차라투스트라는 이렇게 말했다』(1883-5)에서 새로운 가치를 창조하는 실존적 인간상, 위버멘쉬(Übermensch)에 도달하는 방법을 보여준다. 위버멘쉬는 진리를 탐구하거나 자유를 얻으려 하는 사람이 겪어야 할 정신의 세 단계 변화과정을 통해 무의미한 삶 속에서 그 의미를 찾아내고 달성해내는 사람으로 인류의 자기-극복의 모범인 교육자이며, 자유교육의 실천가능성을 보여주는 새로운 인간상이다. 서구 철학계에서는 1980년대부터 철학의 현실적 어려움을 극복하기 위해 독일 아헨바하(Gerd B. Achenbach)의 철학실천(Philosophische Praxis), 철학상담(Philosophical Counseling)이라는 새로운 움직임이 일어났다. 니체의 ‘모든 가치의 전도’는 철학교육이 철학상담으로 이어지는 실천가능성을 보여줄 수 있다. 니체철학의 이상과 목표는 스스로를 교육하는 인간으로 자기 해방의 이르기 위한 진정한 교육에 있었다. 이제 인간 개개인이 자신이 삶을 이해하고 행동하는데 도움이 되는 철학상담과 관련하여 철학교육이 극복하고 해방자로서 가치를 실현할 수 있는 니체의 교육의 핵심 가치들을 살펴보고자 한다.
The true value of philosophy is that philosophy should not only pursue theoretical truth but should also play a role in participating in and helping with the pain of life. Therefore, the practical possibilities of philosophy can be found in philosophical counseling. In his early The Birth of Tragedy(1876), Nietzsche recovered ‘Heiterkeit’through Greek tragedy that touches the essence of life, and in Thus Spoke Zarathustra(1883-5), he explored the truth or gained freedom. It shows how to reach Übermensch,’an existential human being who creates new values, through the three stages of mental change that a person must go through. For Nietzsche, the ‘Übermensch’ is a person who finds and achieves meaning in a meaningless life, is an educator who is an example of humanity's self-overcoming and is a new human image that shows the practicability of liberal education. In the Western philosophy world, since the 1980s, a new movement has emerged under the names of Philosophische Praxis and Philosophical Counseling by Gerd B. Achenbach, Germany, to overcome the practical difficulties of philosophy. Nietzsche’s ‘conversion of all values’can show the practical possibility of philosophical education leading to philosophical counseling. The ideal and goal of Nietzsche's philosophy was true education to achieve self-liberation as a human being who educates himself. Now, we would like to look at the core values of Nietzsche's education, which overcomes God and realizes the value as a liberator, in relation to philosophical counseling that helps each human being understand and act in life.
