딸의 버려지지 않은 미술작품을 통한 아이의 미술에 미치는 엄마의 영향력 고찰

A Study on Mother's Influence on children's Art through Daughter's not thrown away Art Works

본 연구는 미술에 관한 부모의 인식과 태도가 자녀의 미술 발달에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤으며, 그것이 어떠한 양상으로 나타나는가에 관한 연구를 통해 아동의 사회문화적 요인으로서의 부모의 영향을 보여주고자 진행되었다. 이를 위해 버리지 않은 딸의 미술작품에 대한 엄마와 딸의 면담을 통해 의미를 도출하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 개인이 지닌 미술에 대한 관념과 인식 구조가 사회문화적 권력에 의해 형성된다는 것, 그리고 이것이 계속해서 자녀에게 동일시되어가는 현상을 발견하였다. 또한 한 번 고정된 관념과 체화된 관점은 창조적 태도 자체를 억압함으로써 예술을 통한 욕망과 쾌락, 주이상스의 향유와 대리만족 경험을 박탈하는 것이며 견고해진 구조에 균열을 내는 작업이 쉽지 않다는 것을 발견하였다. 이에 본 연구는 아동 미술 발달에 사회 문화적 영향력을 미칠 만한 위치에 있는 사람들 모두가 얼마나 신중한 자세를 지녀야 하는지에 대한 시사점을 던져준다. 또한 개인이 지닌 미술에 대한 관념과 인식 구조가 사회문화적 권력에 의해 형성된다는 것, 그리고 이것이 계속해서 자녀에게 동일시 되어가는 현상을 보여줌으로써 아동 미술의 발달과정을 바라보는 새로운 시각을 제공한다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

This study aims to demonstrate the influence of parents as sociocultural factors on children’s artistic development by examining how parents’ perceptions and attitudes towards art affect their children’s artistic growth. To achieve this, interviews were conducted with mothers and daughters about the daughters’ artwork that had not been discarded, in order to derive meaning from these discussions. The study found that individual perceptions and notions about art are formed by sociocultural power and that this phenomenon is continuously mirrored in their children. It was also discovered that once fixed, these notions and embodied perspectives suppress creative attitudes, thereby depriving individuals of the enjoyment and vicarious satisfaction experienced through art. Furthermore, it is challenging to break the rigid structures formed by these entrenched beliefs. Hence, this study highlights the importance of caution among all those in positions of sociocultural influence over children’s artistic development. Additionally, by demonstrating how individual perceptions and notions about art are shaped by sociocultural power and mirrored in their children, this study provides a new perspective on understanding the developmental process of children’s art.
