대학생의 한류인식과 국가이미지가 유학생 수용에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Hallyu Perception and the Korean National Image on Acceptance of International Students among Korean University Students: Superiority as a Mediator

최근 한류로 인하여 전 세계가 한국과 한국문화에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이에 한국에서 유학하고자 하는 유학생이 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 한국 대학생의 한류인식과 국가이미지가 유학생수용에 미치는 영향에 우월감의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 2023년 4월 3일부터 20일까지온라인으로 실시되었으며, 515명의 대학생이 참여하였다. 구조방정식 최대우도 추정법을 통해서 연구모형을검증해본 결과, 모형은 타당한 것으로 판단되었다. 각 경로에서 대학생의 한류인식은 유학생 수용에 유의한정적 영향을 보였고, 한류인식은 우월감에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤으며, 국가이미지는 우월감에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 대학생의 우월감은 유학생 수용에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 편향수정부트스트랩을 이용하여 매개효과를 분석한 결과는 대학생의 한류인식은 유학생 수용에 유의한 직, 간접효과를 보였고, 국가이미지는 유의한 간접효과를 보였다. 본 연구는 학령인구 급감으로 인하여 많은 유학생을 수용해야 하는 국내 대학에서 유학생에 대한 대학생의 인식을 살펴보았다는 데 그 의의를 지닌다.

Recently, as worldwide interest in Korea and Korean cultures has increased due to the influence of Halllyu, the number of international students who want to study in Korea was increasing. This study attempted to examine the mediating effect of superiority the relationship between Korean university students’ perception of Hallyu and the Korean national image on the acceptance of international students. The online survey was conducted from April 3 to 22, 2023 and 515 university students participated. Structural equation modeling (SEM) using the maximum likelihood estimation showed the following results. Korean university students’ perception of Hallyu had a significant positive effect on the acceptance of international students, Hallyu perception and the Korean national image had significant positive effects on the superiority, and the superiority had a significant positive effect on the acceptance of international students. Korean university students’ perception of Hallyu had a significant direct and indirect effect on acceptance of international students, and the Korean national image had the mediating effect of superiority. The study suggested that it will have to be examined university students' perceptions of international students in domestic universities, which have to accommodate more international students due to the enrollment cliff.
