Development and Validation of a Multiple Intelligences Test for Upper Elementary Students

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 4~6학년 학생의 다중지능을 측정하기 위한 자기보고식 검사를 개발하고 검사의 신뢰성과 타당성을 검증하는 것이다. 연구를 위해 먼저 다중지능 측정과 관련된 국내외 선행연구를 고찰하였으며, 다중지능의 조작적 정의와 문항 개발을 위해 전문가 패널 13명에게 2회기의 델파이 조사를 시행하여 155개의 예비검사 문항을 개발하였다. 온라인 조사방식으로 375명에게 예비검사를 실시하고 문항분석을 거쳐 본검사에 활용할 122문항을 선정하였다. 1,062명을 대상으로 본검사를 실시하였고 문항 양호도 검증과 검사의 실용성을 고려하기 위한 연구진의 회의를 통해 최종 97문항을 확정하였다. 최종 개발된 검사는 확인적 요인분석으로 구인타당도를 검증하였으며 다중지능 8개 영역의 신뢰도는 .811에서 .878로 양호하게 나타났다. 공인타당도 검증을 위해 본검사 대상자 중 87명에게 초등학생용 진로개발역량검사를 시행하여 유사 영역을 측정하는 역량과 지능 간에 유의한 상관이 나타남을 확인하였다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a self-report test to measure the multiple intelligences of elementary school students in grades 4-6, and to verify the reliability and validity of the test. For the study, domestic and international prior research related to measuring multiple intelligences was first reviewed. To operationally define multiple intelligences and develop test items, a panel of 13 experts underwent two rounds of Delphi surveys, resulting in 155 preliminary test items. A preliminary test was administered online to 375 participants, and after item analysis, 122 items were selected for the main test. The main test was administered to 1,062 participants, and after verifying item quality and considering test practicality through research team meetings, 97 final items were confirmed. The final developed test confirmed construct validity through confirmatory factor analysis, and the reliability of the eight multiple intelligence domains ranged from .811 to .878, which is satisfactory. To verify concurrent validity, 87 of the main test participants took the Career Development Competency Test for Elementary Students, confirming significant correlations between competencies measuring similar domains and intelligences.
