노인의 차별경험과 인권감수성의 관계에 대한 연구:사회적지지와 자아존중감의 다중매개효과 분석

A Study about Relationship between Elderly Discrimination Experience and Human R ights Sensitivity: Analysis of Multiple Mediation Effects from Social Support and Self-esteem

본 연구는 노인의 차별 경험이 인권 감수성에 미치는 영향을 확인하고 사회적 지지와 자아존중감의 다중매개 효과를 확인 함으로써 노인에 대한 노인의 인권감수성을 높이는 정책적·실천적함의를 제시하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위하여 전국 만 65세 이상 노인 502명을 대상으로구조화된 설문지를 통한 설문 조사를 시행하였다. 데이터의 분석을 위하여 SPSS macro PROCESS v.4.2를 사용하여 다중매개효과분석을 실시하였으며, 부트스트래핑을 통하여 매개효과의 유의성을확인하였고, 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인의 차별 경험은 이들의 자아존중감과 사회적지지에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 노인의 차별경험으로 인한 부정적 인식을 낮추는개입이 필요함을 확인하였다. 둘째, 본 연구의 매개변수 중 사회적 지지는 노인의 차별 경험과인권 감수성 간의 관계를 완전 매개하고 있는 것으로 나타나 차별경험을 상쇄할 수 있는 노인집단의 역할을 강화해야 함을 주장하였다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구자들은 노인에 대한 인권교육의 활성화 및 노인에 대한 인식개선을 위한 캠페인 전개 등의 실천적·정책적 제언을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to enhance the human rights sensitivity to older people by confirming the effect of discrimination experiences of the elderly on human rights sensitivity, and the multiple mediation effects of social support and self-esteem. For the study, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 502 senior citizens aged 65 or older. To analyze the data, multiple mediation effect analysis was conducted using SPSS macro PROCESS v.4.2, and the significance of the mediation effect was confirmed through bootstrapping. The main research results are as follows. First, it was found that the discrimination experience of the elderly affected negatively on their self-esteem and social support, so it is confirmed the need for intervention to lower the negative perceptions by discrimination experience. Second, among the mediation variables, social support completely mediated the relationship between the discrimination experience of the elderly and human rights sensitivity. It is argued that the role of the elderly group that can offset the experience of discrimination should be strengthened. Based on the study results, the researchers suggested practical and policy suggestions such as revitalizing human rights education for the elderly and developing a campaign to improve awareness of the elderly
