The purpose of this study is to specifically examine the relevant stylistic features of square stools in China's Qing Dynasty, focusing on the entire historical stage of China's last feudal dynasty, from its founding to its heyday to its demise. This study applies both docu- mentary and empirical research methods, and the results are as follows: first, the results of the analysis by type show that the proportion of square stools with a “su yao” is confirmed to be higher than that of square stools without a “su yao”. The short “su yao” square stool is also the one with the highest number of “su yao” square stools. In the specific form and structural features, the common point is the border and leg connection parts and the “su yao” and leg connection parts of the “Wear a mortise and tenon” for the most, “square straight leg” struc- ture is also the most. Secondly, the surface of the square stool in the Qing Dynasty is most commonly produced by sculpture techniques. Thirdly, the decoration grain type used in the square stools of the Qing Dynasty are more flexible and diverse. Fourth, the material of the square stool in the Qing Dynasty mainly utilized rosewood and huanghuali. With the develop- ment of the Qing Dynasty in different stages, the use of materials presents diversity and com- plexity, and the use of material combinations also presents diverse trends.
