Korean Language Education and Psychological Support for the Employment of Children from Multicultural Families

본 연구는 다문화가정 자녀가 취업 시장에 적합한 한국어 능력을 습득하는 데 있어 현재 직면하고 있는 어려움을 깊이 이해하고, 다문화 어린이의 언어적 요구와 한국 근로자의 기대 사이의 격차를 해소하는 맞춤형 한국어교육을 위한 효과적인 방법을 제안하고자 하였다. 한국에서는 다문화 인구가 급증하고 국제결혼의 증가로 자녀가 출산하는 경우가 늘었다. 다문화로 분류되는 이 아이들은 한국 사회 통합에 있어 적응의 어려움에 직면해 있다. 역사적으로 한국의 국가 정체성은 단일 언어 및 단일 민족 이데올로기와 얽혀있으며, 사회 구조가 변화함에 따라 다문화 어린이의 성공적인 취업과 전반적인 사회 통합을 보장하기 위해, 언어적 요구를 지원하는 것이 중요하다는 인식이 점점 더 커지고 있다. 다문화가족지원센터에서는 다양한 서비스 중에서도 한국어 교육을 제공하기 위해 노력해 왔지만, 제공되는 표준 언어 교육과 이러한 다문화 아동을 위한 취업 기회와 관련된 구체적인 요구 사이에는 여전히 격차가 있다.

This study aims to deeply understand the difficulties that children from multicultural families currently face in acquiring Korean language skills suitable for the job market, and to provide customized Korean language education that bridges the gap between the linguistic needs of multicultural children and the expectations of Korean workers. We wanted to suggest an effective method. In Korea, the multicultural population has rapidly increased and the number of children being born has increased due to the increase in international marriages. These children, who are classified as multicultural, face difficulties adapting to integration into Korean society. Historically, Korea's national identity has been intertwined with monolingual and monoethnic ideologies, and as social structures change, there is increasing recognition of the importance of supporting the linguistic needs of multicultural children to ensure their successful employment and overall social integration. It's getting bigger. Although the Multicultural Family Support Center has made efforts to provide Korean language education among other services, there is still a gap between the standard language education provided and the specific needs related to employment opportunities for these multicultural children.
