Despite the growing interest in art as an economic asset for investment purposes, it is difficult to establish logical patterns for art. This study explores the convergence of cultural economics, blockchain technology, and fractional ownership, specifically focusing on tokenization and its implications for democratization. By synthesizing existing literature, empirical studies, and contemporary trends, this study investigates how blockchain-enabled fractional ownership models can democratize access to cultural assets, aiming to answer the following research question: How does tokenization, facilitated by blockchain technology, influence the democratization of cultural participation and ownership? This study uses a multidisciplinary approach to examine the theoretical foundations, technological advancements, and practical applications of tokenization in the cultural sector, while also considering research limitations and proposing directions for future research.
