改革开放初期邓小平对中国式现代化道路的探索(1978-1988)

Deng Xiaoping’s Exploration of the Chinese path to modernization in the Early Period of Reform and Opening-up (1978-1988)

After the reform and opening-up, Deng Xiaoping creatively proposed “Chinese path to modernization” on the basis of Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai’s “Four Modernizations” thought, providing ideological guidance for how the CPC should carry out modernization construction in the new historical period of reform and opening-up. “Chinese path to modernization” is a road of modernization construction with distinct Chinese characteristics and in line with China’s specific reality that Deng Xiaoping explored by combining the basic principles of Marxism with the specific national conditions of China’s new socialist construction period, and integrating the CPC’s thoughts on socialist modernization and the outstanding achievements of Western modernization construction. Deng Xiaoping profoundly summarized the experience and lessons of the CPC in exploring the socialist road, and provided theoretical support and practical exploration for Chinese path to modernization. Deng Xiaoping pointed out that the most fundamental thing about Chinese path to modernization is to adhere to the leadership of the Party. The leadership of the Communist Party of China is the fundamental guarantee for socialist modernization. We must unswervingly adhere to the guiding role of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought, emancipate our minds, and vigorously develop productivity. We must take the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics and achieve the goal of “four modernizations in China”. We must build a well-off society and gradually achieve common prosperity under the strategic guidance of the “three-step” strategy.

改革开放后，邓小平在毛泽东周恩来“四个现代化”思想的基础上，富有创造力地提出了“中国式的现代化”，为中国共产党在改革开放历史新时期如何进行现代化建设提供了思想指引。“中国式的现代化”，是邓小平将马克思主义基本原理同中国社会主义建设新时期的具体国情相结合，同时融入了中国共产党关于社会主义现代化的思想和西方现代化建设的优秀成果所探索出的具有鲜明中国特色、符合中国具体实际的现代化建设道路。邓小平深刻总结了中国共产党在探索社会主义道路中的经验教训，为中国式现代化建设提供了理论支撑和实践探索。邓小平指出，中国式的现代化建设，最根本在于坚持党的领导，中国共产党的领导是社会主义现代化建设的根本保证；要毫不动摇地坚持马列主义、毛泽东思想的指导地位，解放思想、大力发展生产力；要走具有中国特色的社会主义道路，实现“中国式的四个现代化”建设目标；要建成小康社会，在“三步走”的战略指引下渐次实现共同富裕。
