Human Lifestyle towards Digital Civilization: A Critical Review

Digitalization is the most significant feature of production and lifestyle for humans in the 21st century. Digital civilization is essentially a comprehensive reflection of digitalized production and lifestyle. The study of the digital civilization from a diachronic perspective and the research on human lifestyles from a synchronic perspective in the context of digital civilization have given rise to a new era of inquiry: What is the interactive relationship between digital civilization and human lifestyles? Due to different expectations regarding the development of civilization forms, domestic and international discussions on digital civilization put out divergent views. It is urgently necessary to integrate human lifestyles into the theoretical framework of historical materialism. In the era of civilization form evolution, there is a pressing need to actively construct a Chinese-style modernized human lifestyle, that achieves a dialectical unity of ideals and reality, logic and history.

数字化是21 世纪人类最显著的生产和生活方式。数字文明本质上是数字化生产方式、生活方式的综合反映。当前学界从历时态角度出发的数字文明形态研究和从共时态角度出发的人的生活方式研究，催生了新的时代课题，即数字文明与人的生活方式具有怎样的互动关系？由于立场差异和对文明形态发展的不同预期，国内外关于数字文明、数字文明视阈人的生活方式及其二者间关系的讨论，涌现出诸多不同观点。当前亟待将人的生活方式纳入历史唯物主义的理论框架中，在文明样态演进的时代背景下，积极构建中国式现代化的人的生活方式，做到理想与现实、逻辑与历史的辩证统一。
