The Development and Influence of Cultural Capital Theory in China

The explosion of “Shanhe University”' has aroused the attention of all walks of life to educational equity, and once again triggered the academic research on the theory of cultural capital. As one of the important social thoughts in the West, the theory of cultural capital has been spreading in China since the 1990 s, which has a great influence on the development of Chinese cultural theory. From the perspective of the vertical development of the theory, the theory of cultural capital has gone through the initial introduction stage in the 1990s, the rapid development in the 21st century and the in-depth discussion stage since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Its influence has penetrated into China’s cultural thought, education reform, rural education and other disciplines, and has had a broad and far-reaching impact on China’s social development. From the perspective of the horizontal development process of the theory, the widespread use of concepts such as “embodied capital”, “Objectified capital” and “institutionalized capital” has promoted the dissemination and development of cultural knowledge, cultural industries and cultural systems in China. The research and discussion of cultural capital theory by researchers not only enriches Chinese cultural theory, but also promotes the reform and practice of Chinese education, economy, politics and other fields. Therefore, a more comprehensive analysis of the mechanism and concept of cultural capital theory has a profound impact on the further development and improvement of cultural capital theory in academia.

文化资本理论作为西方重要的社会思潮之一，自20 世纪90 年代起开始在中国传播，对中国的文化理论发展产生较大影响。从理论的纵向发展过程看，文化资本理论经历了90 年代的初步介绍阶段、21 世纪的快速发展阶段以及党的十八大以来的深入讨论阶段，其影响力已经渗透到中国的文化传播、教育改革、乡村教育和其他学科领域，对中国社会发展产生了广泛而深远的影响。从理论的横向发展过程看，“具体化资本”“客观化资本”和“体制化资本”等概念的普遍使用推动了文化知识、文化产业和文化制度在中国的传播和发展。研究者对文化资本理论的研究和讨论不仅丰富了中国的文化理论，而且推动了中国教育、经济、政治等领域的改革与实践。因此对文化资本理论的作用机制和概念明确进行深刻分析，对学术界进一步发展和完善文化资本理论具有深远影响。
