This paper explores the application of multimodal teaching models in the context of professional English writing, particularly argumentative essay writing, under the guidance of a holistic foreign language education philosophy. It identifies the shortcomings of traditional teaching models and discusses the use of multimedia resources, project-based teaching methods, and multimodal assessment tools in the teaching of professional English writing. The paper concludes by emphasizing that, in the context of the AI era, multimodal teaching offers new possibilities for personalized instruction and has a positive impact on the teaching of English writing.
