교육학 연구 동향 분석: 「교육학연구」를 중심으로

Analysis of Educational Research Trends: Focusing on「Korean Journal of Educational Research

이 연구는 교육학 분야의 종합학술지인 ‘교육학연구’에 게재된 연구물을 대상으로 한국 교육학의 연구 동향을 파악하는 데 주요 목적이 있다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 교육학연구 창간호부터 2023년 8월까지 게재된 논문 총 2,222편을 분석대상으로 선정하여, 전체기간을 10년 단위의 총 6개의 기간으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 분석기준은 교육학 하위 학문 분야, 연구목적, 연구대상, 연구방법, 연구대상이다. 분석결과, 첫째, 교육학 분야 중 교육심리, 교육사·철학 분야의 논문이 많이 발표된 것으로 나타났다. 교육학 이론을 정립하고 탐색하는 기초 연구에서 현장 적용성이 높은 실용 연구가 증가하는 시계열 흐름, 경향을 발견할 수 있었다. 둘째, ‘교육학 연구’ 학술지 발간 초기에는 주로 다양한 교육학 이론 소개에 연구목적을 두었다면 2000년대 이후부터는 실태 분석을 기반으로 개선방안 제시를 연구목적으로 포함하고 있었다. 셋째, 연구방법은 1960년대부터 1990년대까지는 문헌연구와 질적연구가 강세였으나 2000년대 이후부터는 양적연구가 강세를 보이고 있다. 넷째, 연구 대상은 1960년대부터 1980년대 초반까지는 지방 및 국가 대상의 연구가 많았다가 점차 대학, 교원, 초중고등학교 등 다양한 연구 대상을 주제로 한 연구들이 수행되었다.

The main purpose of this study is to identify research trends in Korean education based on research published in “Korean Journal of Educational Research,” a comprehensive academic journal in the field of education. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a total of 2,222 papers published from the first issue of “Korean Journal of Educational Research” to August 2023 were selected for analysis, and the entire period was divided into a total of six periods of ten years each. The analysis criteria are pedagogical sub-academic field, research purpose, research objective, research method, and research subject. As a result of the analysis, first, it was found that among the fields of pedagogy, many papers in the fields of educational psychology, educational history, and philosophy were published. In the basic research to establish and explore pedagogical theories, we were able to discover the trend of time series and trends in the increasing number of practical studies with high field applicability. Second, in the early days of pedagogical research, the research purpose was mainly to introduce various pedagogical theories, but since the 2000s, the research purpose has included the suggestion of improvement measures based on the analysis of the actual situation. Third, literature research and qualitative research were strong from the 1960s to the 1990s, but quantitative research has been strong since the 2000s. Fourth, from the 1960s to the early 1980s, there were many studies on local and national subjects, and gradually studies were conducted on various research subjects such as universities and teachers.
