This study investigates the trends in Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM) treatments for horses, aiming to establish foundational data for veterinary applications. Through a comprehensive search of three databases, 7 relevant studies were selected from an initial 57. The studies utilized acupuncture, electroacupuncture, pharmacopuncture, moxibustion, and herbal medicine, addressing conditions such as chronic back pain, facial nerve paralysis, and laminitis. Results indicated significant clinical improvements, including pain relief and functional recovery, with no reported side effects. The findings suggest that TKM treatments are effective for various equine conditions, warranting further research to expand their application in veterinary medicine.
