Functional Evaluation and Intervention of Challenge Behavior of Students with Developmental Disabilities by Homeostasis Mechanism

In this study, through functional evaluation of these challenging behaviors, we will examine the causes of challenging behaviors and try to assert and reveal more different causes. This study sees it as an action of homeostasis mechanism and attempts to clarify its claim. In addition, as a way to improve these challenging behaviors, we would like to find out that the challenging behavior of students with developmental disabilities can be eliminated or reduced through education through movement, that is, 'relieving strength' through movement. In the conclusion of this study, the challenging behavior of students with developmental disabilities occurs from the perspective of self-subject activities of students with developmental disabilities in the process of maintaining an equilibrium state of physiological self-regulation by the homeostasis mechanism. Therefore, it is a position that these challenging behaviors should not be viewed as actions that should be forcibly eliminated. It is a view that the balance between mind and body, that is, homeostasis, should be maintained by removing the excessive force contained in the body through 'relaxation' of the body.
