The Effect of Mother’s Resilience on the Self-esteem of Children’s through Mediation of parenting Efficacy

In this study, the effect of a mother's resilience on children's self-esteem was investigated to find out whether a mother's parenting efficacy was a mediating factor. In order to analyze the structural equation model, multi variate normal distribution was confirmed and Pearson’s correlation analysis was conducted to analyze the correlation between variables. And the structural equation model was analyzed to verify the research model. The summary of the findings of the research problems set forth in this study are as follows. First, as a result of the effect of a mother resilience, parenting efficacy on children's self-esteem, parenting efficacy and resilience of mothers were found to be effective in enhancing the self-esteem of children. Second, as a result of investigating whether a mediating effect from parenting efficacy in relation to parenting efficacy and child self-esteem exists, mothers' parenting efficacy was directly or indirectly related to the self-esteem of children. In order to improve the self-esteem of children, it is necessary to provide a social support system to improve the resilience and parenting efficacy of mothers and to overcome anxiety about nurturing children. This is a worthy research topic that suggests providing a program for parent education and nurturing strategies to increase mothers' resilience and encourage institutional support at the national levels
