Purpose - The purpose of this study is to comprehensively review corporate growth theories and present theoretical and practical implications Design/methodology/approach - This study reviewed relevant researches with related to corporate growth theories, including research articles, books, industrial reports and news articles. Findings - First, from an economics perspective, cost reduction and efficiency are emphasized. To solve problems of uncertainty, opportunism, and information asymmetry that may arise in market transactions, firms can use methods such as contracts, vertical integration, and institutions. Second, management scholars are interested in the creation and use of resources and knowledge as a tool for creating competitive advantage of firms. When a firm provides products and services to customers by creating and utilizing valuable, rare, difficult to imitate, and organizeable resources and knowledge, it achieves sustainable growth and competitive advantage when it has an advantage over other competitors. Third, since ESG management and artificial intelligence can help firms achieve competitive advantage and growth, academic researchers and corporate executives and employees should pay attention to them. Research implications or Originality - The growth strategy presented from the perspective of existing economics and management theories can create synergy when ESG management and artificial intelligence are combined, and will contribute to strengthening the firm's sustainability and competitive advantage.
