The purpose of this study is to investigate the applicability and examples of qualitative research as an extension of the research methodology for analyzing Korean churches. In this process, I examined the connection between the characteris-tics of the Korean church and qualitative research, focusing on aspects such as field-oriented values, relational values, and the importance of insider perspectives in analyzing the Korean church. Additionally, I introduced examples of qualitative research conducted on Korean churches, including compelling analyses such as 'Life of a Retired Pastor in a Small Church,' 'In-Depth Context of a Rural Church,' and 'Church's Youth Retreat Process.' These findings are expected to contribute to the methodological advancement of research on Korean churches and enhance the applicability of qualitative research in this field.
