The Effect of Memorable Tourism Experience(MTE) on Local Resident-Tourist Interaction and Behavioral Intention: Focusing on visitors to marine tourist attractions in Busan

This study aims to present policy implications for attracting tourists to Busan through research on memorable tourism and behavioral intentions of marine tourists. An online survey was conducted on visitors to marine tourist attractions in Busan from March 15, 2024 to March 31, 2024, and a total of 250 copies were secured as valid samples, and analysis was conducted through factor analysis and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS statistical program. As a result of this study, first, emotional experiences, local culture experiences, and new experiences were found to have a positive (+) significant effect on the interaction between local residents and tourists. Second, it was found that emotional experiences and local culture experiences had a positive (+) significant effect on behavioral intentions. Third, it was found that the interaction between local residents and tourists had a positive (+) significant effect on the intention of action. Fourth, it was found that the interaction between local residents and tourists played a mediating role in the influence relationship between MTE and behavioral intention. It is important to develop marine tourism products and marine experience activity programs that tourists can remember for a long time.
