A Study on the Professional Thinking of 1366 Counselors

This study aims to explore the professional thinking experienced by 1366 counselors in the process of training to provide support for the victims of domestic violence or intimate partner violence. In this regard, this study established the study subject of the professional thinking experienced by 1366 counselors in the process of training to provide support for the victims of domestic violence or intimate partner violence, and analyzed the data through an autoethnographical research approach. In addition, in-depth interview was conducted with 9 counselors at 1366 Gyeongnam Center of Women’s Emergency Call who are licensed social worker. The results showed that the experiences of the participants could be categorized into eight main categories, each of which consisted of three stage levels. Based on the results shown from the study, institutional and practical implications were discussed.
