The purpose of this study is to understand the life experiences of adult children of alcoholics who are recovering alcoholics and to provide basic data for social welfare intervention. The research question is that: what are the life experience of adult children of alcoholics who is recovering alcoholics. Data were collected on eight recovering alcoholics whose father or mother or both parents were alcoholics via in-depth interviews. This study was performed using the phenomenology method which is one of the qualitative study. The issues which are revealed through this study are <The Kid Who was Exhausted, Haunted and Lonely>, <The Way toward Addiction>, <The Adventure in the Underworld of Addiction>, <Return to Normal World Through Sobriety>. From this present study, the social work implications for children of alcoholics are deducted.
