The Effects of the SWOT-Model Coaching Program—Using Biography to Improve Young Children's Initiative

The purpose of this study is to prove that the SWOT-model coaching program using biography improves young children’s initiative. The results of this study were as follows. First, the program has a positive effect in all three areas of young children's initiative: emotional skills, communication skills and motivation for achievement. Second, the study shows that this coaching program influences young children's initiative differently according to gender differences, revealing that there is significant difference in emotional skills of girls and boys; however, communicative skills and motivation for achievement showed no significant differences. Based on the results, the study concludes that there was significant effect on children when the biography based on SWOT-model coaching program is used with young children.
