중학생 성발달 평가척도의 타당화 연구

A Validity and Reliability Study of the Sexual Development Assessment Scale: Korean Middle School Students Form

본 연구는 중학생의 성발달 평가척도의 개발 과정에서 측정도구의 타당도와 신뢰도를 분석하는 것이다. 본 연구를 위한 연구대상자는 서울 및 경기에서 1학년부터 3학년까지의 중학교 재학생 522명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였고, 분석방법은 구성타당도를 검증하기 위하여 요인분석을 실시하였으며 변별타당도, 신뢰도분석을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 주요결과는 중학생 성발달 평가척도의 타당도 및 신뢰도가 유의하게 나타났다. 구체적으로는 첫째, 본 척도의 구성타당도는 유의하였다. 즉, 본 척도의 4가지 영역-성태도 영역, 성적 의사결정 영역, 성폭력 인식 및 대처 영역, 양성평등의식 영역-에서의 모두 8가지 하위요인-성 허용, 성적 자연스러움, 성적 수치, 성적 거부결정, 거부에 대한 불안, 성폭력 인식, 성폭력 오인, 양성평등의식-이 추출되었다. 두 번째, 본 척도의 변별타당도는 유의하였다. 음란매체 접촉경험의 유무에 따라 살펴본 성발달 평가척도의 변별정도는 음란매체 접촉경험이 있는 집단과 없는 집단으로 나뉘어 각 하위요인별로 유의하게 구분되었다. 셋째, 본 척도의 신뢰도는 8가지 각 하위요인에서 .62~.92의 범위로 확인하였다.

The purpose of this article was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Sexual Development Assessment Scale for Middle School Students in South Korea. Participants in this study were 522 students in Grades 1 to 3 in Seoul and GyeongGiProvince. Statistical analysis was performed according to contents, constructs, and discriminant validity Cronbach's coefficient was also calculated. The results of this study suggested that reliability of each subscale was high and the item discrimination and discriminant validity werealso significant. More concretely, factor analyses confirmed 8 factors on the Sexual Development Assessment Scale. Second, the results revealed good discriminant validity. In the study, the scale demonstrated its predictive value for sexual development in how subjects responded to experiences through exposure to sexual materials; subjects exposed to sexual materials differed significantly from those not exposed to sexual materials on the Sexual Development Assessment Scale. Third, the reliability of each factor in the Sexual Development Assessment Scale showed .62~.92 and was acceptable. The findings thus indicated that the scale was a reliable and valid measure to assess sexual development for middle school students. Therefore, the utilization of the scale in research and the educational and clinical practice of sexual development,as well as the limitations of existing studies, were discussed.
