국제결혼 이주여성의 한국어 능력과 사회적 지지가 한국생활 적응에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Linguistic Ability and Social Support on Adjustment among Women of Multicultural Families in Korea

본 연구는 최근 한국사회에 증가하고 있는 국제결혼 이주여성들의 한국생활 적응과 관련하여 한국어 능력과 사회적 지지가 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보고, 국제결혼 이주여성들의 한국생활 적응을 돕기 위한 대안을 제안하는데 목적이 있다. 한국생활 적응은 심리, 사회, 문화적 적응으로 세분화 하였으며, 이주여성들의 한국생활 적응과 관련하여 영향을 미치는 요인으로 언어능력(한국어)과 사회적 지지를 살펴보았다. 국제결혼 이주여성들이 한국생활 적응과 관련하여 직면한 문제점으로 언어문제와 사회적 지지체계 부족을 지적할 수 있으며, 이들의 적응을 돕기 위한 다양한 서비스 또한 크게 언어능력 향상과 사회적 지지체계 형성을 목적으로 하고 있기 때문이다. 한편, 본 연구의 목적을 위해 전남지역을 중심으로 국제결혼 이주여성 208명에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 분석방법으로 구조방정식 모형인 Amos 5.0을 사용하였다. 분석결과, 언어능력은 이주여성의 문화적 적응에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며, 사회적 지지는 심리, 사회, 문화 적응 모두에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 이러한 연구결과를 통해 앞으로 점점 늘어나는 이주여성들의 한국생활 적응을 돕는데, 사회적 지지체계가 중요한 요인임을 다시 한번 확인할 수 있었다. 결론에서는 이러한 연구결과를 중심으로 이주여성의 한국생활 적응을 돕기 위한 포괄적인 사회복지 지원 대책을 제안하였다.

This study examined the effect of linguistic ability and social support on adjustment among women of multicultural families in Korea. According to pre-studies, linguistic ability and social support are very important factors on adjustment among women of multicultural families in Korea. Especially, the study was classified according to adjustment-psychological adjustment, social adjustment and acculturation. The study was based on a survey of 208 women living in Jeonnam, and the data was analyzed by the Amos 5.0 program. The results show that linguistic ability effects on only acculturation in the affirmative, while social support influences on psychological adjustment, social adjustment and acculturation in the affirmative. Therefore,we can confirm the importance of social support in assisting in the adjustment among women of multicultural families living in Korea. In conclusion, this study introduced strategies to help in the adjustment among women of multicultural families living in Korea.
