발달지체 영유아의 가족참여 모델이 영유아의 구문론 발달에 미친 영향

The Effects of a Small Group Parent Involvement Program for The Abilities of Syntax of Language on Developmentally Delayed Young Children

외국의 경우 장애영유아의 조기중재에 있어서 가장 중요한 발전 중의 하나는 부모와 가족의 협력으로 서비스를 제공하는 방향으로 전환된 것이다. 그러나 한국의 장애영유아교육 현장에서는 부모교육의 필요성이나 그 중요성에 대한 인식이 아직 부족하고 또 방법적인 면에서도 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 발달지체 영유아의 조기중재에 있어서 가족복지 또는 가족참여의 일환으로 발달지체 영유아의 의사소통 발달 촉진을 위한 가족참여의 모델, 즉 소집단 부모참여프로그램을 구성하여 8명의 의사소통장애를 가진 영유아의 어머니들을 대상으로 프로그램을 실시한 후 영유아의 구문론 발달-문법형태소와 발화길이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 소집단 부모참여프로그램의 구성은 소집단 부모교육 8회기, 개별상담 4회기로 이루어졌다. 그 결과 영유아들은 실험 전 보다 문법형태소와 발화길이가 모두 향상되어 소집단 부모참여프로그램의 효과를 살펴 볼 수 있었다. 그러므로 이러한 연구결과는 실험 기간이 불과 약 3개월이라는 짧은 기간임에도 불구하고 구문론 발달에 효과가 나타나기 시작했다는데 의의를 둘 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 언어치료 현장에서 발달지체 영유아의 의사소통 발달 촉진을 위한 가족복지 또는 가족참여의 모델로 이러한 소집단 부모참여프로그램이 확대되어 사용될 수 있는 연구결과라고 할 수 있겠다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a small group parent involvement program that helps the parents of young children with disabilities actively participate in their children's communication development. In this study, the pretest-posttest design was used. This study was performed as follows: small groups (2, 3, 3 persons per group) were formed among 8 mothers in the experiment group, and provided with a one-hour parent education session every week 8 out of 12 times. The thirty-minute individual session , which was comprised of a 10-minute consultation, a 10-minute video recording of a mother playing with her child, and video feedback for another 10 minutes. The results of this study were as follows: the syntax abilities of children were improved. Such findings indicated that the small group parent involvement program resulted in the improvement of children's syntax abilities: grammatical morphemes, MLUm (Mean Length of Utterance-morpheme). It is shown that a small group parent involvement program for the language and communication development of young children with disabilities can promote the children’s syntax skills. Also, the parent involvement program implemented in this study can be an example for those who seek an effective program to increase young children's language skills.
