입양기관 사회복지사의 입양에 대한 주관적 인식 유형

Subjective Recognition Type with Regard to Adoption by the Social Workers of Adoption Institutions

본 연구의 목적은 입양기관 사회복지사들이 입양사업에 대해 어떠한 인식을 가지고 있는지를 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 인간의 태도, 느낌, 신념, 가치 등을 파악하는데 유용한 Q방법론을 이용하였다. Q방법론은 Q모집단 구성, Q표본을 선정, P표본 선정, Q분류, 자료 처리 및 분석의 과정을 거쳤다. 본 연구 결과 분류된 사회복지사들의 인식유형은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공개입양옹호형으로 사회복지적 가치에 근거하여 입양을 지지하고, 입양의 긍정적 측면에 확신을 가지고 있는 유형이다. 둘째, 해외입양비판형으로 입양제도 자체는 긍정적으로 보고 있으나, 해외입양에 대해서는 반대 입장을 가지고 있는 유형이다. 셋째, 입양회피형으로 우리 사회에서 입양이 부정적으로 인식되고 있다고 생각하고, 입양기관에서 일한다는 것에 대한 자부심도 없는 유형이다. 넷째, 신앙적 입양확신형으로 기독교 신앙에 근거하여 입양을 바라보고, 지지하며, 입양기관에서 일한다는 것에 대해 신앙인으로서 사명감과 자부심을 갖고 있는 유형이다. 다섯째, 비밀입양지지형으로 입양제도 자체는 긍정적으로 보고 있으나, 입양인이 행복하게 사는 것에 대해서는 회의적이며, 비밀입양에 대해서도 현실적으로 인정하는 유형이다.

The purpose of this study is to confirm the kinds of recognition of social workers of adoption institutions. For this, the study uses the Q methodology, which is useful for finding out the attitudes, feelings, beliefs, and values, etc. of a human being. Q methodology involves the following steps: Q population organization, Q sample selection, P sample selection, Q sorting, and data analysis. The types of recognition by social workers, which were classified based on the results of this study, are as follows. First, the open adoption vindication type – describes those who support adoption based on secular values and have a firm belief in the positive aspect of adoption. Second, the Foreign adoption criticism type describes those who – have a generally positive opinion of the adoption system itself, but have objections toward foreign adoption. Third, the Adoption avoidance type describes those who are aware that adoption is recognized negatively in our society, and they do not feel pride in working at adoption institutions. Fourth, the Religious adoption assurance type describes those who support adoption based on a Christian perspective of the world, and also have a sense of mission and pride in working at adoption institutions. Lastly, the Secret adoption support type describes those who - support the adoption system itself but are pessimistic that adopted persons can lead have a happy lives life, and also realistically recognize secret adoption.
