유아기 자녀를 둔 부모의 양육태도와 결혼만족도가 아동학대에 미치는 영향

The Influences of Parenting Attitudes and the Marital Satisfaction of Parents on Child Abuse

본 연구는 유아기 부모의 양육태도와 결혼만족도가 아동학대에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구로 보육시설을 통해서 실시할 수 있는 아동학대 예방을 위한 아동복지 실천의 자료를 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 부모의 양육태도에서 아버지가 어머니보다 부정적인 양육태도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 결혼만족도에서는 아버지가 어머니보다 결혼만족도가 낮게 나타났다. 셋째, 부모의 아동학대 차이에서는 신체적 학대, 방임, 정서적 학대와 성적학대 등 전체학대에서 아버지가 어머니보다 더 전체적으로 유아를 학대하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 아버지의 결혼만족도가 낮을수록 아동학대가 많이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 어머니의 양육태도가 부정적일수록 아동학대가 많이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다. 여섯째, 부모의 양육태도와 결혼만족도가 학대에 미치는 영향에서는 부모의 양육태도와 결혼만족도가 신체적 학대와 방임, 결혼만족도가 정서적 학대와 성적 학대에 관련이 있었다. 따라서 보육시설의 부모교육에서 아버지참여가 필요하고, 학대요인으로 대두된 양육태도와 결혼만족도관련 교육내용이 필요하다는 것을 시사한다.

The aim of this study is to analyze the influences of parenting attitudes and the marital satisfaction of parents on child abuse. In addition, a child welfare practice to prevent child abuse will be introduced. The results of a survey of 500 parents(250 fathers and 250 mothers) with young children, show that there are some statistically significant differences between fathers and mothers in parental attitudes on raising children, marital satisfaction and child abuse(physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect and sexual abuse). That is, the results of this study are characterized as follows. First, fathers tend to have more negative parental attitudes than mothers in raising children. Second, fathers tend to have lower marital satisfaction than mothers. Third, fathers show higher score in child abuse (physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect and sexual abuse) than mothers. Fourth, the lower marital satisfaction of the father is associated with child abuse. Fifth, the more negative parental attitude of the mother is related with child abuse. Sixth, the parental attitudes and marital satisfaction of parents are strongly related the physical abuse and neglect. Finally, marital satisfaction is related with emotional abuse and sexual abuse. Especially, fathers have a stronger tendency than mothers to abuse children. Therefore, this study shows the need for parent education (especially for fathers) at nursery institutions to prevent child abuse. Additionally education for parents about positive parental attitudes and marital satisfaction are important.
