유아기 자녀를 둔 다문화가족 부모역량강화 프로그램 구안

A Programming for Empowering Parents with Children in Early Childhood in Multi-cultural Families

본 연구는 유아기 자녀를 둔 다문화가족 부모역량강화 프로그램을 구안하기 위해 내용분석과 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통해 프로그램의 요구를 파악하였다. 역량있는 부모되기 프로그램의 구성요소는 ‘발견하기’, ‘지지하기’, ‘대화하기’, ‘성장하기’라는 4개 구인을 중심으로 구성하였고 프로그램의 목표는 신뢰감 증진, 부모 효능감 향상, 의사소통능력 기르기, 자기관리능력 기르기 이다. 프로그램의 내용은 ‘부모 자신의 가치 발견’, ‘부모역할의 재발견’, ‘자기 지지’, ‘사회적 지지’, ‘핑퐁 의사소통하기’, ‘갈등해결하기’, ‘부모의 사명 인식하기’, ‘유능한 부모로 성장하기’ 8개의 활동으로 구성하였다. 본 프로그램 구안은 유아기 자녀를 둔 다문화가족 부모의 역량강화에 의의가 있으며, 구체적인 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 본 프로그램은 대상자의 강점에 기반하여 문제를 파악하는 것이 부모 가치와 역할을 발견하는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 본 프로그램은 자아성장 집단 프로그램의 형태로 구성하는 것이 부모 역량강화에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 본 프로그램은 교육적 초점에 기반하여 프로그램을 구성하는 것이 부모 역량을 강화하는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 본 프로그램은 동료, 전문가 등 상호협력적 관계에 기반하여 프로그램을 구성하는 것이 부모의 역량을 지지하는데 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

This research aims to set up a program for empowering parents with children in their early childhood in multi-cultural families by analyzing potential program contents and conducting focus group interviews. The EUP program consists of four elements: finding, supporting, talking and growing. Its goal is to build confidence, and to improve parent efficiency, communication skills and self-management abilities. It also includes eight activities: finding self-value of parent, re-discovering the roles of parents, self-support, social-support(sharing hearts), Ping-Pong communication, solving conflicts, parent-actualization and being competent parents. This study focuses on empowering parents who have children in their early childhood in multi-cultural families. The results of this research can be summarized as follows: First, this program proves that paying attention to parents’ strong points helps them find their values and roles as parents. Second, this program can be more effective when it is formed as a self-growth group program. Third, positive results come when the program is made on the basis of educational points. Fourth, the program can empower parents-child relationships more effectively when it is based on a cooperative relationship between colleagues or experts.
