자연발생적인 멘토링 경험 기능이 청소년의 진로성숙도에 미치는 영향과 유형별 동질집단 특성 연구

Effects of Naturally Occurring Mentoring on Adolescents’ Career Maturity with a Focus on Segmenting Group Characteristics

본 연구는 청소년의 자연발생적인 멘토링 경험 기능이 진로성숙도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고 동시에 청소년의 진로성숙도 유형별 동질집단 특성을 살펴보고자 하여 대전지역의 중학생(1-3학년) 352명을 대상으로 자연발생적인 멘토링 경험기능 및 진로성숙도 검사를 실시하였다. 연구결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자연발생적인 멘토링 경험 기능이 진로성숙도 중 목적성, 확신성 및 준비성에 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 자연발생적인 멘토링 경험 기능 중 역할모형제시 기능은 청소년의 확신성과 준비성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 청소년의 진로성숙도 유형별 동질집단 특성을 4집단으로 분류할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 이와같은 연구결과를 토대로 본 연구는 청소년들의 자연발생적인 멘토링 경험 기능의 중요성을 확인하고 진로 지도시 집단의 특성을 고려한 특성화 프로그램의 필요성을 제언하였다.

This study investigated the effects of naturally occurring mentoring functions on adolescents’ career maturity, with a focus on segmenting group characteristics. 352 junior high school students in D city filled out a self-administered questionnaire. First, regression analysis was employed to evaluate the effect of mentoring functions on career maturity. Then, cluster analysis, cross-tab analysis, and chi-square test were examined to segment group characteristics according to the career maturity of the participants. The results indicated the effect of naturally occurring mentoring functions on conviction, preparedness, and purpose of career maturity among adolescents. Also, the role-model featuring functions of mentoring showed a statistically significant effects on the conviction and preparedness dimensions of adolescents’ career maturity. Lastly, the results substantiated the segmentation of adolescents into four groups according to the career maturity types. Implications for differentiated career counseling interventions were discussed.
