A Case Analysis of Family Therapy for a Pastor's Wife with the Inclination to Divorce

본 연구는 이혼을 고려하고 있는 목회자부인에 대한 가족치료의 개입 효과를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서 치료자는 MRI의 상호작용적 가족치료 모델과 Murray Bowen의 가족체계이론을 절충하여 사용하였으며, 가족구성원들의 변화단계를 제시하기 위해 Prochaska의 초이론적 모델을 적용하였다. 본 연구는 가족치료 사례를 분석하기 위하여 지속적 비교분석, 개방형 부호화, 그리고 Miles와 Huberman(1994)에 의해 개발된 매트릭스와 네트워크 방법을 활용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부인의 전인식단계에서의 이혼 고려 원인은 목사같지 않은 남편의 행동, 남편의 무능함, 성관계 불만족, 남편의 정서장애로 나타났다. 둘째, 인식단계에서 부인이 인지한 가족갈등의 원인은 부부의 원가족 특성과 역기능적 표현방식이었다. 셋째, 상담이 진행될수록 가족구성원 개인과 가족관계의 변화가 나타났다.

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of interventions for a pastor's wife with the inclination to divorce. The therapist used an MRI interactional model and Murray Bowen’s family systems theory. Also, this study attempted to identify the stages of change that family members undergo according to Prochaska’s trans-theoretical model. The study used constant comparative analysis, open coding, Miles & Huberman's matrix and network display to analyze the family therapy case. The findings of the study were as follows: First, at the stage of pre-contemplation, the factors influencing a pastor's wife with the inclination to divorce were her husband’s “un-pastorly” behaviors, his incompetence, her dissatisfaction with their sex life, and her husband’s emotional disturbance. Second, at the stage of contemplation, the subjects of family conflict that were recognized by the wife included the husband and wife’s characteristics relating to their families of origin and dysfunctional communication methods. Lastly, as the counseling sessions progressed, there were changes in the individuals and in the family members' relationships.
