The participants of this study were 170 married immigrant women who are living in Daejeon and Chungnam provinces. A structural equation model analysis was conducted. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. Firstly, the mediation model established that acculturative stress as a mediating variable in the relation between the social support for and the marital satisfaction of married immigrant women was appropriate. It was found that social support positively affected marital satisfaction. Secondly, social support was found to have a negative effect on acculturative stress. Lastly, the result of verifying the mediation effect of acculturative stress showed that acculturative stress was a partial mediator between social support and marital satisfaction. Based on the results, the authors suggested practical implications and intervention strategies that could improve the quality of life and marital satisfaction of married immigrant women.
