The tremendous change that has occured within our society. In this society, many people want to have an opportunity of adult and continuing education (life-long education) for the better life. But peoples are basically different and their needs are different. So I focused in this point and investigated the female student's personality type who are enrolled in adult and continuing education institutes. A question in this study is whether the typical personality type of preference of them is revealed or not and age affectes the differences or not. This study found that most of students have a higher prevalence of the per sonality preferences ESTJ, ISTJ type and higher proportion(over 60%) of the students reported ST type. Chi-square analysis indicated the significant difference(p<.01) according to an age. By understanding personality preference, we may be able to develop the re lationship and to gain information of individual student learning needs. These w orkes can give an opportunity for educator to ensure that an optimal learning environment is provided.
