The Study on In-Home Servieces Program based on Recipient Perception

The main purpose of this study is to provide a program drictions of In-Home service based on recipients in a social welfare center in Seoul has been made. Collecting data from them were computer processed and analyzed. Major and specific recommendations were as follows. 1. Major recommendations on program direction include: a) The social worker's for home care services should be professionally trained and form trust based relationships b) The program should attempt to enhance and reinforce the self respect for program recipients c) The results showed an emphasis on family focus; thus the program should attempt to fortify the parent-child relationship d) Surveys showed a large perceptive need for continued care of chronically ill recipients; thus the program should address this need adequately 2. Specific recommendations for particular groups include: a) For medically / physically challenged, low income and unemployed recipients, the program should attempt to build recipient self respect b) The group of monthly income between ￦500,000-1,000,000 had the highest level af satisfaction with the home care social worker, however the medically / physically challenged group did stress the importance of linkage with a government institution c) For the chronically ill and long-term care elderly, specific and professional programs should be designed and implemented.
