A Study on Development of the Family Volunteering Program

Recently, it became to be difficult for activating volunteering since the number of volunteers is decreasing and volunteers have also been confined to only few groups such as housewives and students. This difficulty in getting an effective volunteering in addition to a variety of prevailing family problems become a significant social problem. These problems are likely to be arised from 1) lacking of communication between family members as well as 2) faulty family education. Thus family volunteering program in which all the family members participate may help to solve social problems. The present study was aimed to perform a case study of seven agencies which have underwent the family volunteering program. Therefore it was designed to suggest a model for improving the benefits of family volunteering to strengthen their family units and meet serious social problems in their community.
